Talgo To Supply 15 High Speed Trains to Renfe
Spanish railways operator Renfe has awarded Talgo a €78n milliom contract for the supply of 15 very high-speed trains and to maintain this fleet for 30 years. The contract includes an option to buy a second block of 15 additional units and to extend the maintenance period 10 additional years. Talgo shall deliver the first block in 36 months.

Renfe selects Talgo for high-speed train order
SPAIN’s development minister Mr Iñigo de la Serna announced on November 28 that national train operator Renfe has awarded Talgo a contract to supply and maintain up to 30 high-speed trains.
The initial contract is worth €786m, including €337m for 15 330km/h Avril trains and €449m for 30 years’ maintenance with options for 15 additional trains and a further 10 years’ maintenance. If both options are exercised, the total value for the contract will reach €1.491bn..

Talgo wins Spanish high speed train order
SPAIN: Talgo has been selected for a contract to supply 15 high speed trainsets to RENFE and maintain them for 30 years, Minister of Development Íñigo de la Serna announced on November 28. The first of the trainsets from Talgo’s Avril family are to be ready for service in 38 to 42 months
