For the
correct maintenance of the wheelset, it is essential to know the condition of
each wheel of every railway vehicle in the fleet. It is also important to know
how the wear and tear of the wheels evolves over time, so that the maintenance
and wheel-turning tasks can be efficiently planned and so that, where
appropriate, the corrective measures can be taken in time.
In this respect, TALGO has used a great deal of resources, both human and
financial, to develop the artificial vision and ultrasonic detection
technologies on which its measurement systems are based. These systems provide
extremely accurate measurements and unsurpassable reliability.
For the correct maintenance of the wheelset, it is essential to know the
condition of each wheel of every railway vehicle in the fleet. The Model 2000
Wheelset Parameter Measurement and Control Facility is a set of modular systems
used to measure and control all the important parameters of the railway vehicle
wheelset. It can be installed in any maintenance workshop, engine shed,
independent track, etc. and the measurements can be made at variable speeds
between 0 and 15 km/h.
The Model 2000 Wheelset Parameter Measurement and Control Facility can be
connected to any of the Talgo lathe models, so that they can sue the measurement
information to manage the reprofiling of the wheels as efficiently as possible.
